Michigan Assistive Technology Loan Fund

The Michigan Disability Rights Coalition (MDRC) has established the Assistive Technology Loan Fund to help people with disabilities purchase
assistive technology devices and services.  UCP Michigan, the Financial Health Credit Union and Centers for Independent Living have joined
together to offer this program to persons with disabilities and their family members.  The program provides low-cost financing to persons with
disabilities to purchase assistive technology devices that allow for greater access, increased mobility, enhanced communication and job opportunities

How much can I borrow and what is the interest rate?

There is no minimum amount; the maximum amount is $20,000.  Your ability to repay the amount requested will help determine the approval of
your loan. The interest rate is based on the prime rate of interest in effect on the day the Credit Union receives a loan application.  These rates change, so ask for the current rate.  The rate in effect at the time your loan closes is fixed for the duration of the loan.  Repayment terms are based on the expected useful life of the assistive technology device.
